1.  Email a write up of what 2 pieces of software you are planning on learning:

·        Research how you plan to learn the software you have indicated you will be learning and then beside each piece on software document this plan.

·        Email this plan to your teacher before starting.

·        YouTube training

·        See Unity Manual

·        If keen try the free online training

·        If you chose Unity to learn you may work on it for 2 to 8 weeks.

·        You must keep a log of what you are doing each day.

·        If you choose to work with Unity for most of this term your presentation will be a tutorial to help others along the learning curve of this new software along with a demonstration of what you have learned.

·        If you wander you will be assigned regular work by the teacher.

·        See Basic training, other training or search the Internet and YouTube for tutorials.

·        If you chose After Effects to learn you may work on it for 2 to 8 weeks.

·         Done individually or if demonstrated good work ethic may be done in pairs.

 

·         Remember to include:

o  Secondary Motion

o  Music & Sound Effects

DVD Startup Video – If not doing Unity or CAT

 

 

3.      Create a Startup Video for the final class DVD

 

·         You must talk to the Instructor before you begin!

·         This should be something that will take 3-4 classes to complete.

·         Class will judge which one will be used.

 

Needs to Contain:

·         “MBSS Computer Animation Productions”.

·         Should have the School or something that represents MBSS in it.

·         Should be short and interesting.

·         Can contain models and animation you have already created.

Own Choice – If not doing Unity or CAT

 

 

4.      Other Tutorial or Creation – See Instructor for Ideas

 

·         You must talk to the Instructor before you begin!

·         This should be something that will take 3-4 classes to complete.

 

Some Ideas:

·         Classical Animation – similar to one of these – using the light table draw your animation of a repeatable action…….see instructor to okay this as there is limited time on the light table.

·         Expand on a previous assignment.

·         Look at the Fx Tutorials and pick some tutorials you have never done.

·         Look at the Internet for 3dsMax tutorials.

·         Create a tutorial.

·         See the Instructor for ideas.

DVD – If Unity or CAT and have something to show

 

 

5.      Animation Portfolio to YOUTUBE

·         Add to your Portfolio any animations you have completed

·         Use Windows Movie Maker to assemble all your BEST animations with music and sound effects. 

·         Put your Portfolio onto YouTube

·        Email your Teacher the URL of your YouTube Portfolio

 

·         Note: You may use Premier Pro if you prefer it to Movie Maker
